Dr. Ryan Canales is a Vermont native who began his veterinary career 21 years ago at the Rutland Veterinary Clinic and Surgical Center. He graduated from Castleton State College with a BA in Biology and a minor in Chemistry; and concluded his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with honors at the University College Dublin, a constituent of the National University of Ireland. Dr. Canales currently owns and practices veterinary medicine at Long Trail Veterinary Center in Williston, Vermont.

Dr. Canales is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Society for Theriogenology, and Vermont Veterinary Medical Association. He is USDA Accredited and certified in the most advanced reproduction/breeding technology/techniques. In addition, Ryan�s passion to raise, train, and work with all types of working dogs led him to become a licensed AKC Field Trial Judge.

Outside of work, Ryan�s passions include training bird dogs, triathlons, skiing, mountaineering, and spending time on the trails with his family and friends.
